Haughton Green Village

Haughton Green is a large village in Denton, Tameside.  Originally farming land, the discovery of rich deposits of coal brought mining to the area.  Both Denton and Haughton Green began making felt hats which made Denton famous for this industry during the industrial revolution.  

The Village Green has a history of providing locals with a place to socialise and enjoy recreational actvities, and these events help to keep the tradition alive.
